Meet Gus aka Goober. Gus was part of the Stafford County Morgan siezure case in Virginia in 1990. He is the cousin of Mia and the nephew of Justin. Gus is the class clown most of the time! He loves to "smile" and play tricks on people, his favorite one being slobbering you when you least expect it.
Gus has done many awesome things in his time with us including showing successfully on the A rated Morgan horse circuit for two years and competing in low level jumpers at local shows. He is part of our lesson program and has been retired from the show team. Gus tends to be very sensitive to the energy and intention of the humans around him and does great therapy and connection work. But, his sensitive nature causes him to manifest ulcers and occassionally erratic panic attacks. We love Gus and all the wonderful complexity he brings to the herd! He can be gentle as a lamb for a small child on a lunge line or brave and bold with an advanced rider tackling complicated jump combinations! We have learned over the years how to help him cope with his anxiety and we happily manage his bad days while rejoicing in his good days!
A Glimpse of Gus!
